Yes, leaven. Like what dough does but with babies.

Celebrating Sunday 5/25 at the house @ 2pm.

Hard to believe we're closing in on ONE YEAR but soooo glad all that is behind us.

20lbs                 28" tall!
And yes I AM eating a handful of sand...

11 Month Updates:
  • After watching Nic & Mila walking and some work with daddy, Jaxen is well on his way! He loves to take your hands and go for a stroll!
  • 3 teeth!
  • Almost walking! [video]
  • We started a family vacation tradition that was inspired by what Mike & Jackie do. Each vacation, we'll buy a book from that place. Then we'll inscribe it with a blurb about our trip and also a little photo collage. Our first book is called, "Dragons Love Tacos."
  • Officially began weaning this month. So far, we're down 1/2 a feeding...and not with out a whole lot of fussiness.
  • 7pm bed time = perfect.
  • Coconut/fruit smoothie with dinner seems to really help him sleep through the night especially if he's not being a good eater that particular night.
  • Click here for pictures from April.
  • Pictures of our FL trip are HERE!
  • Walkin' w/ the walker [video]
  • Swingin' n' droolin' @ the park [video]
This month we took another trip! As per usual, Jaxen did soooo well on the flight out. (We had the bulkhead seats though and there was plenty of room to walk/play on the floor!) the week was rough on me. Jaxen didn't want ANYONE but me until he got used to everything/one about 3 days before we had to go home. This was an exhausting trip for me. I think he just really missed his daddy 'cause when great gap held him and when uncle Rory was there he seemed to do a bit better. We did a lot of swimming in Gma's pool and loved it! By the end of the week his back float was really coming along! We also went to Fort Meyers beach one day and met some moms that live in the area who I knew through my June First Time Moms online group. Preston, Cozy & Jaxen had a good time splashing in the waves and eating sand together. Unfortunately, it was a bit of an off day (but what day WASN'T!??!) for J so we left a little early. We even got to meet auntie Maggie's parents who also live in Cape Coral! Later on in the week, we went to Gg's beach and played in the sand and stomped around in the waves! I think we have a real beach kid here much to my delight. We even survived the flight home which was 4 hours plus extra time delayed on the tarmac. Boy I could really use a vacation...
